Meet our Team

Meet Our Therapist: Veronica Pecchia Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), BA, MACP

Do you ever feel caught between who you are, who you want to be, and what life is demanding from you? That in-between space can feel confusing, overwhelming, or lonely. My goal is to offer a calm, supportive environment where you can explore your emotions, understand yourself more clearly, and build confidence in the direction you’re moving. My approach is caring, straightforward, and grounded in partnership, walking alongside you as you make sense of your feelings, uncover your strengths, and develop tools that foster clarity and compassion.

I support individuals experiencing anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem, perfectionism, depression, mood-related concerns, and life transitions. I also work with those navigating hormonal changes such as shifts related to PCOS, PMS and overall reproductive health that influences mood, energy, and well-being. In addition, I work with individuals with neurodiverse experiences who may feel misunderstood or overlooked in traditional environments.

I work from a person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based perspective, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and other evidence-based modalities. My focus is always to help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered—never rushed or judged.

Professional Background

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Child Psychology from Seneca College and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

My background in educational and supportive settings, including a diploma in Early Childhood Education and studies in Child Psychology has allowed me to support people from all walks of life. My work experience as a educator, program coordinator for youth and grief facilitator has shaped my understanding of human development, emotional needs, and how people grow and heal across the lifespan.

My therapeutic approach has been shaped by forming genuine connections with youth and young adults and witnessing their resilience. These experiences have shown me that healing looks different for everyone, and that each person’s story deserves to be met with compassion and curiosity. I strive to meet clients where they are, creating a space where they feel understood, valued, and supported in their journey toward growth and healing.

A Little Something About Me...

I often think of coping like using an umbrella, we don’t wait for the rain to stop; we find ways to “weather” it with tools that help us stay grounded, supported, and protected. Over time, these tools strengthen our umbrellas, helping us move through life’s storms with more confidence and resilience. Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me reading, catching sunsets, staying active through sports, or planning my next travel adventure.

I’m passionate about creating awareness around PCOS and ADHD, not only because I support clients in these areas, but because I navigate them myself. Living with both has shaped my understanding of emotional health, identity, and the importance of compassionate self-care. My goal is to help others feel less alone in their experiences no matter what it is, and to remind them that what they’re going through is valid, understandable, and worthy of support. These personal and professional experiences allow me to meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and a deep commitment to helping them feel seen and understood.

If you feel that we may be a good fit, please feel free to contact me so we can work together to reach your goals and start your healing journey! I offer free 15 minute phone consultations and I am currently accepting clients for virtual, and phone appointments.
